I’M A VISUAL STORYTELLER
I’ll tell your story as one hero shot or provide an entire deep and diverse library. I capture the spirit of my subjects to ensure our story is of interesting people in interesting places doing interesting things.
I love what I do. I thrive while exploring the world around me. What a privilege to be invited into others’ lives, given a glimpse, asked to interpret and share my vision with the rest of the world.
The [[[ brackets ]]] in my logo are what you see in my cameras’ viewfinder…and much more. They symbolize the mind’s eye, the blank canvas, the possibilities.
By doing whatever it takes to get the shot I fill those brackets, stretch them and go beyond. In doing so, I deliver the assignment and what’s expected…and surprise with the unexpected.
I blend a variety of photographic instincts; part photojournalist, part fine artist, part marketing guy, part director, part shrink. I observe, I listen, I engage, I shoot, although not always in that order ; )
I seek to craft scenes that look and feel genuine, a method I affectionately call “planned spontaneity”. I achieve this through a mix of produced shoots, sourcing serendipity and improvisation. I truly believe the cliche... the harder you work, the luckier you get.
