ABOUT BOB 2

I wield a MacGyver inspired toolkit of self sufficiency, collaboration and a let’s make it happen attitude.

Growing up in NYC and Connecticut I learned how to shoot with room for type from my graphic designer dad; and learned manners and how to ask questions from my journalist mom. I learned diplomacy and negotiating as a US Congressional Intern in Washington DC. I first learned mindfulness and to heighten my awareness by sensory deprivation tanking while at Northwestern University.

I learned to take risks by bungee jumping in Australia. I (attempted to ; ) learn improv at Second City Comedy in Chicago. I learned street smarts, grit and respect for diverse ideas while navigating backpacking adventures and photo shoots spanning the globe.

I learned about the Ad Agency world, client relations, and group dynamics
as an account guy at a top Ad agency DDB Needham. I learned about professionalism and photo industry best practices as a NY and CT board member in the trade organization, ASMP. I’ve learned what it takes to be an effective creative problem solver from 25 years in the photo biz while collaborating with countless inspiring people and exceptional clients.

I’ve learned patience and how to really listen as a devoted dad of two awesome teenage daughters. I’m an integrity kinda guy and a lifetime learner.
I like to create order out of chaos while preserving some chaos for creative spark. People also describe me as dedicated, dependable and flexible.
Above all, I’ve learned to be as prepared as possible... so I may be as present and in the moment as possible... knowing much will change... and we’ll still make the shoot a success while ensuring everyone has fun in the process.

Hangin' out at a termite hill in Ghana.
